Vector files for POD and cut-file sellers.
Turn a PNG or JPG into clean, print-ready vector files — sized exactly for Merch by Amazon, Printful, Printify, Etsy, Cricut and Silhouette. No signup, no watermark, and your files never leave your browser.
How it works
1. Drop your image
Drag, paste or browse. PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF or BMP. It is decoded on your device — nothing is uploaded, ever.
2. Pick a job preset
Single Colour for tees, Flat Logo, Illustration, or Cut File. Solid backgrounds come off with one toggle, and the stats panel shows the true path and node counts.
3. Export the exact file
One click for a Merch-size PNG, a Cricut SVG at real size, a DXF Silhouette Basic can actually open, or the full Etsy bundle ZIP.
POD spec table
Marketplaces reject files for boring reasons: wrong canvas, no transparency, wrong format. The export panel is built around these exact specs.
| Marketplace / machine | File that works | Size & notes |
|---|---|---|
| Merch by Amazon | Transparent PNG | 4500 × 5400 px, 300 DPI, sRGB, under 25 MB |
| Printful / Printify (tee) | PNG or SVG | 3600 × 4800 px at 300 DPI recommended |
| Etsy digital listings | Bundle: SVG + PNG + DXF + PDF | The 4-format bundle buyers expect from cut-file listings |
| Cricut Design Space | SVG (or DXF) | Set the real physical size in inches or mm |
| Silhouette Studio Basic | DXF only | Basic cannot open SVG — SVG needs the paid Designer Edition |
Why DXF?
Most converter tools stop at SVG. That quietly excludes every Silhouette owner on the free Basic edition of Silhouette Studio, because Basic cannot open SVG files — it needs the paid upgrade, or a DXF. Veclyra's DXF writer flattens curves into clean closed polylines at the exact physical size you choose, with holes (like the inside of an O) preserved, so your design cuts the way it looks.
Private by design — and provable
There is no server to upload to. Tracing runs in a Web Worker on your machine, fonts and code are bundled with the page, and after the first load the whole tool works with the network switched off. Unreleased client art and your next best-selling design stay yours.
FAQ
Is Veclyra really free? What's the catch?
There is no catch and no account. Veclyra runs entirely in your browser, so there are no server bills to pass on to you: no signup, no watermark, no usage limit, no upgrade nag.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Your files are traced on your own device and never sent to a server. You can prove it: load the page once, turn off your internet, and the tool still works.
Why do you show path and node counts?
Because cleanup is where other converters hide the pain. A clean four-colour logo should land in the low hundreds of nodes. If a trace comes out with tens of thousands, you will see it here — and the Simplify button is right next to the number.
Why is there a DXF download? I thought SVG was the vector format.
SVG is, but Silhouette Studio Basic — the free version most beginners use — cannot open SVG files at all. It opens DXF. So the Silhouette Basic button gives you a DXF at the exact physical size you set.
Can Veclyra remove the background from a photo?
Veclyra removes solid backgrounds — white or one flat colour — which covers most logos and AI-generated shirt art. Photos with complex backgrounds are not supported, and the tool says so honestly instead of producing a mess.
Will it work for photographs?
Photographs do not trace well in any converter. If Veclyra detects a photo-like image, it warns you: keep it as PNG, or use the Illustration preset with expectations set.
What sizes does the POD Export panel produce?
Merch by Amazon: 4500×5400 px transparent PNG at 300 DPI. Printful/Printify tee: 3600×4800 px. Plus sticker and custom sizes, a real-size SVG for Cricut, DXF for Silhouette Basic, PDF, and a one-click Etsy Bundle ZIP with all four formats.
Do I own the files I create?
Yes, your output is yours. You are responsible for having the rights to the artwork you trace — see the Terms page.
Roadmap
Coming in v1.1: batch mode (about 20 files to one ZIP) and per-colour separated files for multi-colour vinyl and screen print.
Later: AI photo background removal, EPS export (beta), centreline/engraving mode. We list these here instead of pretending they exist today.
